What does your pricing look like?

Pricing - Single Session: For single session pieces, I charge a flat rate for all pieces  based on an estimate of how long a piece will take multiplied by an hourly rate of *$180 + sales tax. (Standard Seattle hourly rates are $150 - $250+) The time counted is only while the machine is running, not the appointment time total. Factors outside of a client's control may make tattoos take longer including skin texture, and I don't believe a client should have to pay more for these. I am also work at a slightly different pace everyday. Working at a flat rate helps me and my clients go into an appointment knowing exactly what to expect and without worrying about how long a piece will take. You will be provided a quote prior to booking.

Pricing - Multi Session: For multi-session pieces, I work at a flat session rate, broken into time brackets where the rough hourly cost decreases as the session gets longer (i.e, the calculated hourly rate of a single session lasting between 5-6 hours of tattooing comes out to a lower hourly rate than a  3-4 hr session, even if the total cost for the longer session is higher.) You will be provided a session cost estimate prior to booking. I often find that myself and my clients hit a sweet spot between 3.5-4.5 hours of tattooing. Working beyond 4.5 hrs of tattooing time is not typical for me at this time, but you will be provided the cost for 4.5-5.5+ hour sessions prior to booking in case you'd like to be prepared for that possibility at our session. Sometimes our bodies don't cooperate and we need to cut a session short ---sessions lasting less than 3 hours of tattooing time will be charged hourly by the running time of the machine at a rate of $170/hr +tax.

The session rate may be lower if we are using a technique  / subject matter that is not already well represented in my portfolio - we will discuss this rate at our consult!

*When working with melantated clients, I offer a discounted rate. I understand that melanated clients are still underrepresented in my work & may face additional financial and other barriers to being tattooed in an expensive metro area.

What if we take longer than we expected?

The total cost does not change. Regardless of if we take another hour or another session, the cost for your tattoo is the quote I provided prior to booking.

I want everyone (myself and my client) to have clear expectations going into our sessions. Please don't hesitate to ask questions at any point in the booking process to make sure you feel confident in our working relationship!
